I've also taken on leadership roles in various projects, events and activities, figuring out what is happening and ensuring it happened smoothly. I have worked with my friends to try to create something from scratch, figuring out the details, even the tiny ones to make sure nothing is forgotten.
Teachers Day
Celebration 2022
The largest event I have co-orgazined was the teachers day celebration 2022. The principal chose four students to orchrastate the whole thing which was me and my schoolmates, Nadine, Tasha and Ravinah. When spend countless days, meeting and discussing what should we do during the event as we had to do things that fit the criteria of the principal, and ensure no one gets left behind. Day in and day out we would figure out our budgeting, figuring out what to buy, figuring out who is performing, figuring what are we playing.
We had to work with a tight deadline, with only a couple of weeks to pull everything together, buying and getting what we need. We actually only had a week to practice, and finalise everything as the celebration it self was a week after our exams. We too had to ensure everyone got what they needed, a place to practice dancing? We'll arrange that with the school. What games are we playing? Call for a meeting with all the people who are incharge and leading the games, make sure everyone is one the same page and know what exactly we are doing. There weere a lot of things to manage, but in the end it all went through.
The yearbook project
I too have made a yearbook independently with the help of my schoolmates. I too initiative as I wanted to close my secondary school years in a way where I can easily look back to. With essays and messages from schoolmates, written in ways they would speak make the yearbook unique. This book also has a couple of special sections like a look back into the past, where unseen photos gets to be seen and a section of messages from people who wants to write and leave their mark in the book. I ended up making more than 100 pages filled with countless memories, each picture and word has a meaning behind it to someone.
